5 Sonographic Signs Cholecystitis

• Stone impacted in GB neck
• Pericholecystic fluid
• GB wall > 3mm
• GB hydrops – > 10cm x 5cm
• Sonographic Murphy’s sign

Biliary Masses

• Appearance similar to gallstone but non-mobile and do not shadow
• Likely not cause of acute sxs
• < 1 cm in size need f/u imaging in 1 mo
• > 1 cm in size need closer f/u
