Skin glue decreases failure rate at 48 hrs

  • Put a drop right were the catheter enters the skin and another drop underneath the hub
  • Normal tegaderm over the top
  • Decreases movement>decreased phlebitis>maybe decreased infection
  • Need to use adhesive remover wipe to dissolve glue prior to removal
